Welcome to BYC! If you head to a flock size of 13 you're going to need to expand space - there's lots of info here on good sizes per chicken for in the coop and the run. Not sure about your family but my son and I eat three eggs a day between us (not counting when hubby joins us for a second breakfast) so if you're trying to come up with eggs for 30 on a regular basis your flock may need to grow even more. But once you get bitten by the chicken bug, that won't be a problem.
