A new change is on the horizon. Moving from Washington State to Nova Scotia, Canada to live on my husband's family farm. This has been in the works for over 2 years now and in 6 months it will be reality. Recently I was looking into getting chickens once there and started my research about a 1 month ago and found the book, "A Chicken in Every Yard". Since then I've developed an obession to have my own chickens, I'm chopping at the bit. Tried to talk my best friend into letting me raised some chicks while I was still here then give them to her for a backyard brood. Didn't fly

, so I have to wait. Love the great articles here, all the information available to help newcomers learn about chicken life, and the pictures... such beauties. Can't wait to upload pictures of my own ladies once we get them.

For now I'll be reading all the great articles and obessing...
