Hi folks. I figured I’d give a run down of our coop and run. Keep mind I’m no carpenter and you’d be hard pressed to find a 90 degree angle. But I did the best I could.

Most material was recycled.
Our biggest out of pocket expenses were the hardware cloth, 2x4’s, screws and hinges and stuff

the plywood was recovered from delivery crates from my work
Rough lumber 1x4’s was from a previous project. The metal roofing was left overs from my son in laws business.

We are about 550 dollars Canadian into it. So about 30 bux USD lol.
I figured if we had to pay for everything we’d be about $750-800 dollars Canadian

I will be adding a small solar power system to it hopefully this weekend if the weather can cooperate. That will just include a 50 watt panel, 100 amp hour batt, multi time 12 timer (to control 3 pc fans to come on for 15 mins every hour) and a couple of LED bulbs (for late fall and winter)

Pic heavy

Nice Job :thumbsup
My suggestion,,, is you need to install some serious VENTILATION. Talking about rear round open ventilation. I know you want to install some computer cabinet fans. If you ventilate your coop portion properly, there will be no need for those tiny fans. :old

Ventilation needs to be up high at roof line, and some take in air at bottom.
@aart has an informative link in her posting signature, about VENTILATION. I have sent many newbies to that link/thread
Here is a shortcut to that thread.
