Cardboard coop models

Hi Gryeyes,
Your model looks very similar to me; mine has lots of tape and pencil arrows, too.

Thank you, Happyhensny!

Roosts WILL be on the opposite wall like yours, also with a window cut in that wall. I plan on putting a "roll away" nest box on the wall where that flap is, perpendicular to the short wall with the door. (I got the nest box plans from Opa.)

Here's my cardboard model of the roll-away nest box.

The photo doesn't do it justice, since you cannot see the slanted floor, or the lid in the back where the eggs roll away from the chicken. But building the model REALLY helped me understand its construction!

Oh, yah.... I must have used up one roll of scotch tape on that coop. Notice the labels that tell me "front" and "roof" and all that?? Somebody at work asked me why I had to write "roof" on the model roof, couldn't I tell it was the roof?

No, not when it was a flat piece of cardboard outline to cut out!!! If I hadn't labeled them, I would have never known which bit of cardboard went where when I started to put it together.

I'm plans-challenged. But I have my very own circular saw and cordless power drill. Wooo hooooo!
