Cardboard to separate eggs in incubator?

Like the title said I looked around my house and all I really can use to separate my eggs is cardboard but I'm afraid it will get soggy I have made a few threads asking this but what can I use to separate them if not cardboard?

Is this to separate eggs for when they hatch? If so you could use hatching baskets. I personally would not use cardboard as this could also interfere with air and it’s not good for young chicks to stand on it.
