Could it be that the black shoulder are a pair? the one (I figure the male) has green scales coming in at the back base of his neck, and is overall darkre. the other (i assume female) is not shiny in the slightest, just a multitude of grey and browns, What say you? pair?
I got very nervous about it because when i added in another couple peas, she was the first to display but i wasn't 100% if that was what i saw or not, then i was out there a few days later and she was dancing and keeping step with the other 2 boys.
they are only 3-5 months old(for the whole flock) i was surprized to see mating today, but the stranger part was that the 2 that were mating were indian blue males? is that common? i assume its a dominance thing?
Right now my Cameo hens are prettier than my males and are doing more strutting. When I crossed the yard two were strutting and they did look like beautiful turkeys. They must know watermelon is coming to an end because they acted so delighted tonight when I took them a watermelon.
