Carefresh Bedding for Button Quail?

Just a warning, I used carefresh for a couple months for my rats and it got outragous with just 5 tanks/cages. I always had great luck going to the farm store and picking up "horse bedding" pine shavings. Just watch the coarseness, to coarse and it won't absorb to fine and some birds will eat them.
