Hi BYC flock! Can you help me figure out the gender and breed?

We rescued a day old chick in the Caribbean, and we're not sure what breed or gender she is. Gertrude (I keep using the pronoun "she" in hopes it's a hen) is now 11 weeks old, no signs of crowing, and the comb on top hasn't grown at all. She's just beginning to have a reddish tint to her face.

Any insights would be appreciated as I am a first time chicken parent. I forgot the pictures on this post, but attached some in my next post below. Thank you all!

Hi welcome to BYC!! I think a pic would help us out, I'm thinking it might be a hen though.

Howdy! Welcome to the flock! Sounds like you might have a hen. She will appreciate another chicken to keep her company. Feed her a good quality diet with a few assorted treats and she will live a long time.

Oops I forgot the pictures!

Congratulations! You have a girl. As to breed I have no idea. Maybe and Easter Egger cross. Interesting comb on her.

I know I'm going to sound like an idiot but how did you smuggle a chick back from the Carribbean!!! Hats off to you! I feel guilty trying to hide shells!

Haha, we still live in the Caribbean on a boat, so haven't had to smuggle her anywhere yet. Before we go to our next destination we'll be taking her to the vet for the health clearance papers so she can travel around with us. I'll let you know how it goes!
