Caring for pullets

I have three hens, but they were grown when we got them. We are now purchasing new pullets. I am not sure what different care they will need.
 
They will need "grower" feed until they are about 20 weeks old and then they can have "layer" feed and/or supplemental calcium.
 
Main thing to keep in mind is to give them STARTER FEED, rather than LAYER FEED. If you are feeding them natural feed, then it does not matter. The main difference in the two feed formulas is the calcium content. Starter @ 2% Layer @ 4%. The higher percentage in layer feed can be detrimental to young non laying birds. It can wipe out their liver and kidneys.
