CAROLINA CHICKENSTOCK FALL 2012

Here are some pics of my cochin flock...All summer I have needed to build the breeding pens overhead in thier coop and have not...partly because with them all running together I am getting some awesome babies! I will have many smooth and frizzle chicks from this flock availible. You can see most of my cochins have pretty decent type and color!! I love nice round cushy rears!!

This is Joe! This is the Rooster in our Blue Ameraucana pen. I sitll have to get pics of the girls.. But seems that they are back on strike with egg laying :( so wont have any for chickenstock but i will have a list so you can put your name down for Eggs whenever they start back laying. :)

My EE and Ameraucana girls are laying well so I should have you a dz hatching eggs that you asked for from one or both pens, if you like.
I also am getting plenty of duck eggs and will bring you a dz of those for hatching, as requested. The Pekins are pure as they are still penned but all my others I am letting free range together so you may get some pure Saxony or mixed with Golden Cascade or Cayuga.

Also, to let others know, I will have Mille Fleur bantam Cochin eggs available plus Sizzle eggs from several pens and Frizzles and probably other bantam Cochins except the Mottleds which have been claimed unless I get more than a dz collected. We'll have to see how the girls lay in the next few days as I collect them up.
I probably have said this already but as we get closer to Sat. I am answering a lot of people and forget where I have posted.

You never know when you are going to meet a new chicken person. Our phone went out and the Centurylink guy heard my rooster crowing and wanted to see the chickens. He has four of his own. I told him about Chickenstock and he is really excited about coming and bringing his kid and his dad! So hopefully that is three new faces at this year's "stock". The more the merrier.
