Casey Heynes Interview - Bully Victim Who fought Back!

They said the recording was made by the bullies phone... If you are just going to defend your self you just do it. You dont hand your phone to someone to record it. It looks to me like he thought he could take the big kid an was trying to show off an prove how tough he was. He found out the hard way is not as tough as he though.

His camera in someone elses hand recording before the start of the fight shows his motivation...

True, but the kid that recorded the incident backs Richard's story of Casey actually starting it... Sometimes enough is enough... and the "little guy" does fight back. The problem here is that no one really knows which one is the "little guy".

I'm not saying any of it is right... I'm just saying none of us really have any idea what happened... it is a very sad situation.

Thats Richards friend of course he will side with Richard.

Aggressor is dancing... Something you do to incurage someone to fight back. Big kid takes several hits without responding then executes a pile-driver skillfully an then walks away. Seems me the big kid has enough skill to really hurt someone if he chose but once he had the advantage he walked away.

Does being big mean he's immune from bullying? I was big as a kid, too, and I got bullied constantly for it.

In my case, white kid in a school where maybe 1-2 out of a classroom of 30 were white, NO teachers/administrators/counselors were. Groups, hell, the whole town and as far as I could tell, the entire State Dept of Education.

I'm normally against any and all forms of gun control, but it's probably a kinda good thing (saying from my head here, not my gut) that it's a good thing 7th graders can't get machine guns. I'd have made Columbine look like a PTA picnic.

When I moved to a new school when I was 13, all the girls all the way to Seniors tried to bully me. They learned real fast, I wasn't one they wanted any part of! I do not feel sorry for bullies, or what happens to them when they bully.

It was opposite with me. I was a non Christian mix race in a predominately white Christian area and was bullied. I also had access to guns and weapons, but I was a gentle natured child and did not believe in hurting someone with a weapon to prove a point and would have never taken a gun to school.

Then when i started fighting back I was thrown out of the school the day I hit one of the principal's pet after she tried to shove me into a cement pit.

That school was the beginning of me being in and out of correctional schools and camps for "troubled kids" I had become labeled the bad kid, a scape goat, I had no credibility and no one listened to my protests when I denied the accusations. My angry outbursts and crying was sued as ammo against me. No one bothered to find out why I was always angry and depressed, that maybe the physical abuse from the students and the taunts from teachers had something to do with it, not until a lot of damage was done. Yes my friends, stereotypes and bullying are dangerous. I am just thankful I had enough of a head not to have been one of those kids who brought guns to school. Children are impulsive, and all it takes is one horrible impulsive act to ruin a lot of lives.

I disagree. My wife and I have worked around scouts, schools, and playgrounds enough to know that you can never be sure which one is in the wrong. The school rule is no fighting. Period. That rule has to be enforced.

My youngest son was being bullied at middle school by two boys. One day he fought back. He knew the consequences and was willing to face those. Yes, he was suspended. The counselor we talked to afterwards was very apologetic but she had no choice. My wife and I agreed with her that there was no choice. I wanted my son to learn there are consequences for fighting, but sometimes you have to do what you need to and face the consequences.

By the way, they never bothered him again. And my son was bigger than either of them.
