Cat Breed of 5 year old cat?

Hi, this is my cat Bean. He, is 5 years old I still don’t know what breed he is. I think he might be a turkish van mainecoon mix. But, I don’t know. So, if you have any tips or ideas please feel free to comment.He’s a rather big cat. When I first got him when he was very young he was about the size of a large kitten. He might be a mainecoon. He would just be classified as a DMH if you don’t know his background. I have cats that look like him and that’s what the vets put in the records for any non purebred. Where did you get him? Breeder, drop off, shelter?

I got him at a rescue shelter. He was taken back twice before. So, I adopted him. But, they never told us what breed he is.

He would be a " Domestic medium hair" or DMH which is a euphemism for a mixed breed cat with medium length hair. His markings would be tuxedo. Very handsome boy.

Most cats in this country are just mutt cats. Generally you need to get a cat from a breeder and the cat has registration paper in order for it to be a purebred anything. Most are just mixed breeds, and there's nothing wrong with that.
