Cat keeps eating eggs out of nest

My duck is laying daily in a nice nest but our cat keeps going in their house and eating the eggs. If i shut the door he cant get in but my ducks cant get in either. if she decides to sit and hatch this spring how will i ever keep this cat from eating her eggs.

Get rid of cat. Just like a dog eating egg's. Same principle. HARD to break them. Unless said cat REALLY does specially good ratting job. You got 3 choices.
1. keep cat , continue to let cat eat eggs.
2. Keep cat, build cat a cat kennel.
3. Kill cat or find cat home with no chickens.

There is one more option that Banditschickens didn't mention. Build a coop/run for your ducks, that you don't allow open to the cat until you have checked for eggs. Once done then you allow ducks/chickens to free range if that is what you do.

If already being done I guess just have to figure out how that cat is getting in and patch that spot.

Take an egg, drain it thru a small hole you can seal up again with something, fill it with hot sauce. Or something yucky. OR, let an egg go bad and lay that in there. One nasty taste and kitty wont like them anymore.

Get A trail Camera/wildlife Camera set it up. Watch for the cat one that has a long life vid card/battery. That way if your not around so to speak you can see where said cat is getting in. That is if you can. So many wants &

you beat me to eat. I learned that from an old farmer that wanted to break a chicken snake from eating the eggs but wanted the snake around to kill rats. Imagine how much that snake moved when the egg was crushed inside them.
