Cat people

Want to know what cured me of EVER leaving my vehicle windows open again? Finding a rabbit my cat left in the driver's side floorwell of my van. In June. It really wasn't pretty..

This is how I learned to not have a window open for my cats to come and go as they pleased while I'm sleeping the day between my night shifts. You see if you do that they bring the gift right to your pillow for you, and wake you up to see it only half an inch from your nose. Yes there is nothing more proud than a purring cat presenting a gift.

i am very sure that i would be committed if my cat ever brought his kill into the house
especially if he put it on my pillow

Godsgrl
i am so sorry that you had to deal with that
i would have to trade my car in after that
i have traded cars n for less then that

Oh there is nothing quite like it, a mouse's dead beady little eyes staring right back at you when you first open yours. Having been woken up by the soft purring of your beloved cat it's not the view you were expecting, but you would get over it. Screaming helps.

Cats definitely teach you not to be so delicate. Or to enjoy the indelicacy.

I would give anything not to be delicate. It is terrible
I wish that I had the stomach to be a vet
i love animals so much

It can be a gift OR it can also be the cat's way of treating you like a kitten - trying to teach you how to hunt.
Kitty used to do this all the time when she was an outdoor cat. After awhile she stopped killing the "gifts" and just mortally wounded them. That way she was giving me the opportunity to finish it off and hone my hunting skills. Then she'd get all snooty because I was too stupid to figure out how to hunt (at least in her mind).
