Cat Proof Indoor Brooder?

Thanks guys! Meet Anna, Elsa and Tazita! We ended up making a broader like the one we borrowed before. The lid latches and we're keeping our fingers crossed. To be safe, we'll also keep Kitty Fisher in our room when we're at work and at night!

Good job! I think they should be safe. When I had my ducklings in the house they were in a separate room and when I would shut the door the cats would both just sit on the opposite side of the door listening to the ducklings, sometimes for hours it seemed. Hopefully your cat doesn't care too much and ignores the noise/smell/chicks! Before you know it those chicks will be outdoors!

I used a tote style brooder inside for ducklings and I have a cat. The cat couldn't get in but the problem was with him laying on top of it which made the duckling stay to one side where the heat was and not want to eat and move around the brooder. I ended up having to move it to my bedroom and keep the door closed so he couldn't lay on top of it all the time.
