I have fed my three cats Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain Feline formula without any problems for about 8 months. Last time I went to TSC, they only had the fish formula (don't remember what it is called) and they were out of the one I usually feed them. Not thinking it was any big deal, I picked up the bag. My two younger cats (1.5 years and 9 months) have no problem eating it. My older cat, we rescued her from a school where she was abandoned 6 years ago, will sometimes eat it and puke it up within 10 minutes. Other days, she will be totally fine after she eats it. Whenever I have tried to give her fish wet food in the past, she would not eat it and I couldn't figure out why. It could be some other problem, but I really think it is just the food. Is there anything I can do to ease her stomach issues, or do I just need to chuck the 20lb bag? I can't return it since I already threw out the bag it came in.

I'd try and get a bag of their regular stuff and put out both (so that other bag isn't a waste). I'd *think* she would choose to eat the stuff that doesn't make her puke. Our cats puke all the time... from overeating, sensitive tummies, stress, food changes, finding a bit of muffin and eating it, eating a mouse (which was horrible puke to clean up!)... As long as she is getting some in and not acting like she is starving though, I wouldn't worry too much (but I'd still work on finding a long term solution). If she starts acting really lethargic, call your vet and see what they think though... it is possible that it isn't related to the food at all, it just happened to coincide with the food change. Good luck!

im not help but i just want to say, yours too? i had the pleasure to watch mine about a half an hour ago... yuck.

Thanks, she is acting completely normal, so it's not an emergency or anything. I think I will go pick up a 5lb bag of the Rocky Mtn. Feline Formula for her.
It's really gross to clean up.

I think she's going to stain the carpet if she doesn't stop soon.

Have you watched her eat? Is she scarfing down the food very fast? My housemate's cat has a problem of trying to overeat (and thus puke within minutes) when free fed, so she must be fed in small portions throughout the entire day. Sucks because my cat is very lean and active and needs to constantly refuel. Thankfully, overeating cat is declawed (previous owner did so) and cannot reach the high place I put the full foodbowl for active cat.
