My neighbor just gave me two cats. She said they're almost 1 year old and haven't been vaccinated. What vaccines do they need? I know they need rabies where we live, but that's the extent of my knowledge on felines!

Are they going to be indoor only or will they also be outside?

Fun! post pics when you can!

If they are inside kitties then rabies and feline upper respiratory (FVRCP)

    Outside Rabies, FVRCP and Leukemia(FELV)

Definitly worth getting the vax done IMO especially the Leukemia if they are outdoor kitties. If they have been outdoor cats already you need to test them before vaccinating for Leukemia though.

They will be outdoors too. I'm really badly allergic to cats. Also rabbits, but I can tolerate them ok as long as they're not in my face. One, the bigger one we named Crash, has scabs from fighting, I'm sure. His brother, who is smaller, doesn't seem to have any. He must pick the fights and lets his brother finish them for him!
