Cat with a bob tail...but no stripes!!!!!

So I just saw this really fat large cat walking around my barn with a bobbed tail...It was dark grey though. I saw the bobbed tail...Is there another cat that has a bobbed tail? Maybe this one had it lopped off. Can bobcats be fat and dark grey? *laughs*

Edited to add...It was walking away from me so couldn't see the face, just the body coloring and the bobbed tail.

Domestic cats carrying Manx trait can appear as you describe. We have a gray female Manx.

Bobcats are Coyote sized and have big looking feet relative to domestic cat.

Thanks centrarchid. I googled and found that Manx cat after posting but this cat had more of a tail than the Manx but I'm thinking that's probably what it is but how did a special breed of cat get outside in the wilderness in coon country. This thing was really wide like it had been eating like a king. I'm hoping it walked past my trail cam and I will check before I head off to work. It would be more logical to see a bobcat than someone's registered cat.
