Caterpillar

Just had to share a picture of a caterpillar we found on a plant on our front porch this morning. So pretty!

After a short seach, we found that it should become a Gulf Fritillary like the ones on this site:

that's a cool looking caterpillar. are you going to keep it until it turns into a butterfly? I went on that link and the butterfly is really cool too.

The caterpillar ended up making its chrysalis on that same plant on our front porch so we have gotten to watch it change. It hatched out into a beautiful butterfly today!
