Catfish Dieing?

My dread a fish named phil. He is a catfish and is white with black markings. He is alive and breathing just like limp. Here what she said “ When we touch him with the net he tries to swim but lands in a weird position and doesn’t fix himself up right”. They separated him. What should they do to help Phil

Phil is a cory catfish and has spike type things on his fins that will get caught in a standard net. So, if he was caught in a net, his spikes got caught and injured him. You could put some stress coat in his water, or another fish med that has aloe vera in it. That will help coat his scales

He was already flopping over so she was worried and propped him up with the edge of the net. They he won’t stay upright so they put them in the quarantine tank. His colors are very dull compared to usually.

Sounds like he might be dying. Those guys don't live very long at all. And if he wasn't fed properly or got picked on by another fish, they live even shorter lives. Has his normal tank been treated with meds lately? Some fish meds can be harmful to catfish

He is with 3 other catfish that are the same breed as him. They 4 catfish ate with a betta because the betta can’t live with anyone else. She uses water conditioner in the water to make it good for the fish.
