Catnip harmful to ducks?

So your duck can come inside now that is one lucky duck so she sould be happy to have a kitty friend and can come inside so she should be fine with no friend I love runner ducks!

hi! i've seen lots of things confirming catnip is safe for chickens to eat, but i was wondering about how safe it is for ducks?
my runner won't be eating any, but we have a new kitten and they love to put catnip in all cat toys now. my runner has been loving sharing some of the toys with her new brother but i realized they have catnip inside of them. is this bad or toxic for ducks? i want to be sure to keep her away from them if it is.
thank you!
Usually, if it's safe for chickens, it's safe for ducks, so don't worry about it. We have some catnip growing in our yard and sometimes the ducks nibble on it and all of mine are fine.

Based of a quick Google search there's definitely conflicting information. There's lots of people who say it perfectly safe and a few that say the VOCs that excite and relax cats can affect birds and cause disorientation. Considering your talking about dried catnip inside a toy, I think you're duck should be fine, I'd be more cautious with fresh catnip just to be safe if it was me.

that's the issue i was running into as well, different sites with different information unfortunately. thanks so much for the input! she isn't really ingesting any since it's inside the toy, so with this info i think she'll be okay. :)
