Cat joined the ducks playing in the garden today....cat did end up running away and hiding behind me when she got quacked at :) (excuse the mess in the garden I have kids...not sure who makes more mess the kids of the ducks)

Personally, I don't trust cats around ducks at all...I just find it hard to believe their hunting instincts wouldn't eventually kick in, but maybe I'm just overly cautious/paranoid. Right now my cats just seem to want to watch them like hawks and try to bat at their fluffy little tails, lol...I'm not letting them get any closer to find out what else they wanna do with them. The ducks don't seem bothered by them at all unless they make sudden movements, which I imagine would be their reaction with any critters.

The cat in the picture with the ducks is a very good hunter and has brought in lots of animals from mice to pigeons but she have never made a move towards my ducks even when they were tiny little ducklings running around. The ducks would peck at her if she started behaving preaditory but I honestly don't think she would. Have had the ducks for just over 2 years now.

While the ducks are out in the garden I am always with them or just inside the kitchen where I can still see them and would not worry about my cats with them. But today while we were all in the garden there was a cat that I didn't know that was eyeballing the ducks. So I'm glad I have a well protected and safe house and run
