Cats or Dogs, that is the question.

I would be a cat person, they can fend for themselves get their own food and have more personality. But I do love my beagle aka Petey.

Overall, I think I like cats better because ours are strictly indoors and they are very cuddly. I love having my kitty in the bed with me under the covers. I like dogs quite a bit too, but for me dogs are not as cuddly because my family has never allowed them in beds, on furniture, and our current dog is not allowed free roam of the house. The cattle dog we have now is mostly an outside working dog and I love him, but I still think he smells! LOL However, I do like the constant companionship a dog provides, and I have to face the fact that hiking without a dog is just no fun! Someday when I have my own dog I might change my preferences up a bit, but for now it's cats first, then dogs.

I love that I can go away for a weekend with cats...just leave plenty of food and water...the litter boxes can handle three days or so. Can't do that with dogs. BUT...I'd be much more hurt if my (male) dog died...he's my very devoted big ole baby.

I'm on the fence. Love my dogs, love my cats equally. I don't like outside animals. I think they smell bad. That's just me.

Have 2 dogs...10 cats. (2 are indoor rest outside). I prefer cats over dogs.

I like cats, they are basically thier own "person" not needy like a dog.Cats have a role in our house to keep us free of mice and they do a great job, our dog doesn't do a good job defending our house as she's under 14lbs!

LOL love cats!! They have their own personality. Ours think he's half dog/ half human

I'm definitely a dog person. I like cats, but I love, love, love dogs. I like most all animals - even snakes!
