Yes, same family as sunflowers(I think) but they spread like wildfire from the tubers in the ground, which are edible (but I don't eat them)...one tiny piece of that tuber will procreate like mad....don't plant them where you can't control the spread by mowing.

65 mph sustained gusts today. Had to add one more brace, she was getting flattened a bit by wind. At least now I know where I need support for snow load! Disaster averted.

Nasty here too.... cold, windy, some snow...worst of it went north tho, and I guess east.

I hear you we are having what I call sprinter combination of Spring/Winter, I have so much to done. Need to get my coop up and run built, garden beds built, and just get out of the dang house!
