Caught an egg eater

I have 24 Plymouth bod rocks and 3 coups i keep 12 in each and i have one smaller one incase i need to separate a chicken for any reason. Found an eaten egg yesterday, and today i caught the bugger trying to eat another one, so i got that hen separated.

Im going to fill an egg with mustard and try the other tricks before i have to kill the chicken.

Am i doing this right?

If it works plz give an update. I have an egg eater but I haven't been able to find out which one it is yet. I really hate to kill a laying hen. I've tried golf balls and taking nesting out of boxes. I've tried extra protein and calcium. And I've tried different treats to keep them busy. No luck. I can't get the eggs out as soon as they lay because I work. I get the eggs out when I get home.
