Caught with Chickens in Denville NJ

In my area the animal control law applies to all domestic animals dog, cat, cow, whatever. If your animal is on another's property and gets reported it is your fine or warning.

Well whats the story? Do you still have your chickens?

We do still have them. Not sure why but the court date was rescheduled to May 22nd. We have a strong case. They are pets.

what ever happened with this? i'm also located in denville and had been considering chickens. remembered reading the NJ.com article back last spring.

We finished defending in court, why we feel our pet hens are not breaking the ordnance many months ago.
We are waiting for Hon. Gerard F. Smith to rule on the case.
He must be considering it very carefully so we're sure he will provide get a fair decision.
