Goliath was the only one to survive the hatch. She came to live with me at a week old. As you can see, she really took to the turkey beanie baby. She slept in this spot a lot. Now she hangs out on the turkey's tail.

That was very sweet of you to provide a surrogate mother of sorts for the little girl! Seems like it's brought her a lot of comfort.

That is SO cute I can hardly stand it!

My first ducklings had a plush parrot for their surrogate mom. They started out snuggling under its "wings" and as they grew, they'd lay their necks across the toy when then slept. They cried horribly without it the first time I removed it to run it through the washer, so I didn't take it away again until they were out of the brooder. Ewwwwww.

And yet, adorable.

awwwwww. Poor little ducks! This turkey is in need of another washing, but Gogo has a big stuffed fish in there now too, so she will survive.
