So the squirrels are burrowing into the coop, beyond everything meant to keep them out. BUT, they're not harming my babies. They are eating their food though. I tried mixing cayenne and cinnamon into the dirt but they dug right through it. Can I mix anything like cayenne into the little peepers food so the squirrels won't find it so tasty?

Yes you can mix cayenne pepper powder into their feed. Chickens can't register heat so they won't notice it but the squirrels will. Many people put it into bird feeders to prevent squirrels from eating the birdseed.

Awesome, thank you! I have the mason jar feeders, about how much pepper per feeder would you say? Rough estimate is cool. :)
