CAYENNE PEPPER??? is this true?

does anyone know for a fact if cayenne pepper actually makes hens go broody? i heard this from a good friend i believe what they say, but i need to know if she got it from a reliable source.

Maybe if you leave a few eggs for a day or two, but they probably have to WANT to go broody.

I use to use it to keep the chickens out out my landscaping....didn't work. I'm not sure why it would make them go broody. My birds insisted on laying eggs under my bushes and around my house. Maybe I was just attracting my hens LOL
