Cayenne Pepper ?

Does Cayenne Pepper help chickens start laying eggs? I never heard of this, but a guy at my husbands work said he put Cayenne Pepper in his feed and his chickens started laying. My chickens will be 5 months old on the 17th of this month.

I don't know if its true or not, but I've heard that as well.

Someone else posted that it will help them keep laying through the winter. But, also, folks have said not to be too eager to have your girls laying early as it may cause problems in the long run.

You can get cayenne pepper cheaply in big jars at the wholesale clubs like Sam's and Costo.
