I bought 3 ducklings all were suppose to be runners, a white, blue and black. I'm *sure* the black is not a runner but I am basing my assement only on the fact that it does not stand high like I expected too and the fact that the same person was welling both breeds so my questions are

1. if someone claims to "know" difference how easy/hard would it be to get it wrong?
2. Is basing my assumption on the way they stand not near enough info to judge?
3. what else should I look for?
4. Should I contact the seller?

I drove about 2 hours to specifially get runners, I dont want anything else, I also paid 8 bucks a duckling, I have never been able to sell one for over 4.

Should I ask the Seller to exchange or refund?

How old were they? It would be *very* easy to confuse a Cayuga and Black Runner in my opinion, especially if they were young babies or production quality Runners. If they were good quality Runners, it really begins to get much easier to identify them in a group once they are even a couple weeks old.

They were two weeks old at the time. The black one appears to have no up right carriage at all.
