Cayuga Duck Incubation Update:
I am currently on day 31 of my Cayuga duck incubation, and it has been quite an exciting journey so far. Out of the original 13 eggs, 10 are still developing, and the other 3 were not viable.
Around 40 hours ago, I noticed the first internal pip — the duckling started breaking through the membrane inside the egg. Since then, I have been monitoring its progress closely. There has been some visible movement, and the duckling seems to be making progress, but I haven’t yet heard any external pipping or chirping.
The egg’s air cell is filled with minimal liquid now, and I can see the duckling's beak inside. I am wondering if I need to intervene, as the external pip hasn't happened yet. Should I wait a bit longer, or should I be assisting at this point? I am unsure if it's still normal for the external pip to take this long after the internal pip.
Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi! What has the temperature and humidity been throughout incubation, and what is the humidity now? Usually, Cayuga duck eggs take 28 days, so no progress at 31 days is concerning. Have any of the other 9 eggs made any progress at all? Typically, it takes about a day from internal to external pipping.
For the one that has internally pipped, I'd make a small hole in the shell where the air sac is so he can breathe.

hi, this is the situation on the morning of the 32nd, the most bubbles occupied 3/4 of the sides of the egg and from the inside it seemed to start in a circle, the outer pip was a white circle, the temperature was stable at 37.0C, I don't know how much the humidity is, I don't have a

They could be shrink wrapped if humidity wasn't high enough. 37 c is a little low so they might take longer than normal. If none have externally pipped at this point I'd open them up and see if any are still alive. I'm not sure what you mean by bubbles, do you have a picture?

I can feel the air sac under the bubbles, I checked today (day 33) and the outer pip has started to thin the shell. Where the beak is, the white part has thinned and when I touch it I feel it knocking and I think the egg moved during the night. I increased the humidity on day 25 and have kept it constant ever since.:fl
