Hello, I have a female Cayuga duck that is about 21 weeks old, and I was wondering when will she start to lay? thanks!

My female cayuga is 26 weeks old and still hasn't layed yet. Some say January is a good time to expect them, but I think each ducky is different.

I just lost by black Cayuga Today. She was my favorite, such a beautiful bird. Only thing I can figure is a predator got her. Mine free range during the day and she wasn't with the group come evening.
