Hi all, I have a pair of ducklings about 14 weeks old. One of the ducklings legs shake horribly while standing still. It seems the right leg is worse than the left... is there any ideas what this can be, is he just cold or nervous, or is he demonstrating some health problems. They are currently eating flock raiser, they get to swim in a large kiddie pool often. We just want to know if this is some health problem or nutrition deficiency how we can correct it. Thanks!

Whilst ducklings are growing, they really need added niacin. I put powdered Brewer's Yeast into their feed twice a week. Once they got older, and are now ranging freely in the yard, I know they are getting plenty of niacin in bugs (just a factoid I picked up on this forum: bugs have niacin in 'em). Now and then I scatter some Brewer's Yeast onto a special little dish of feed or treats I give 'em.

definitely give your little duckling some brewers yeast or a crushed up niacin tablet mixed with either a wet treat like cottage cheese, or mix it in with her feed.

I know this can be serious, but for some reason I couldn't help but think your duckling was doing the "Stanky leg" dance. lol before you give her the niacin, you should take a video od her doing it and loop it over that song... it's be a you tube hit
