So I got my two girls from Tractor Supply and they are my first ducks. I was told that one is a Black Swedish and the other is Blue. I don't know any better but the more I look into other duck breeds from being on here I started to second guess my black ducky. My Blue is definelty a Swedish, she has a beautiful white bib and is rather large. But my black, although having what looked like a bib when she was a duckling, has a very little "bow tie". We have always admired how she looks iridescent and has hidden colors that shine in the sun. She's significantly smaller than my Blue too, we just assumed my Blue Swedish was fat! I'll post pictures of her as a duckling and growing up to now. She is about 4 months old.

If she ends up being a Cayuga is there anything I should know? I know Swedish are too big to fly, but should I be concerned my other one will? She flaps her wings and doesn't seem to get anywhere but on her tiptoes.

Thank you!

The black is for sure a Cayuga duck. The only special things you should know is that they don’t fly, they turn white when they are older, they aren’t very good mothers, and their eggs are a range from white to black. I hope this helped!
