Cayuga's laying white eggs?

We have a flock of 16 ducks of mixed breeds and raised in 2 different batches. The first group we have a variety of ducks including one Cayuga which has always laid blue eggs. Last Spring we got 8 Cayuga ducklings. They began laying this Spring and at first were laying what I have learned is normal for Cayuga's at the beginning of laying, greyish eggs. They now are laying white eggs. Can I expect that they will begin laying blue eggs at some point or if they are laying white now is this what I can presume they will continue laying? Two of the Cayuga's have white mottled feathering, so I assume they are not a pure Cayuga.

Thanks so much.

Warmly,
Jennifer

Last fall I had two cayugas laying, one laid a white egg while the other laid a brown egg. This spring, so far just one has started laying and the first few eggs were completely black, then a few light gray eggs and now the eggs are darker gray. I also have one of my hens that is less than a year old but has a few white feathers. I have heard they will get some white feathers as they get older but I did not expect to see any this soon.

yes as cayugas age they will get some white in their feathering, that's normal, what you dont want is a yearling with it.
As for egg color, they lay black to white and all shades in between, it's just their thing, no right or wrong to it, no rhyme or reason, 80% of mine are near to off white they rest are in the grey and black family. Have had these for years, have them in black, blue and splash, they all 3 lay the same way color wise. Actually most of my darker ones come at the end of the year, so sounds like it just depends on the individual girl....

I know I’m reviving the dead, but can anyone advise why it would be bad for a yearling to be turning white? I ask, because one of my female Cayugas started turning white at 6 months and at 10 months is about 15% white
