Cece or Cecil? Big attitude small silkie

So I think this little one is about 12 weeks old.... It's recovering from a major injury but I was hoping to get some guesses. It's a feed store silkie not from a breeder

It has a HUGE attitude it did walk right up to one of my hens and start pecking.

So I'm leaning towards boy. But so the straight up head feathers throw me and I don't have a companion to compare attitude with so
maybe Because it's alone it has more attitude?

I am agreing with cockerel, though can not be 100% sure. It is missing a lot of feathers still. I would repost at around 4 months of age to be certain, even then may be too soon. Certainly seems like a character!

I think cockerel, too, mainly because of the size of the comb. But time will tell with silkies. Good job saving him/her from certain death at the store.

Thankfully if it's a boy he can go back to my friends farm (she initially found him injured I just did all the vet care). I'm not allowed to have roosters here which is sad he definitely has big personality and he can even go outside for a bit today (that lack of feathers in the Midwest means he's been a house chicken for 3 weeks)
