We bought some white wood planks for our coop walls but some smell suspiciously of cedar. They're pretty aromatic at this point. Planning to paint the inside with a rubber type paint (something I saw recommended around here) for easier cleaning. If so, any concern with the cedar outside?

Cedar is naturally rot resistant. Farmers like to use it for fence posts.

I would run the boards up and down to shed water better and seal the outside.
