Celery in water to keep from freezing

Haha well at o-dark-30 this was a great idea! Lol. Needless to say they enjoyed their snack! I’ll be switching out water until I get a heater

This year I broke down and got a 20$ heated dog bowl. It works wonderfully!! Best bang for my buck since I found misters on sale this last summer.

So my understanding is any "solute" (non-water molecule/ion) that was added to the water from the celery does have the potential to depress the freezing point of the water. However, this could be a totally negligible amount. I doubt it would be worth the effort since celery freezes readily in my home freezer.
