I have a ton of celery my mom gave me to feed my chickens.... is it safe?

Yes, I give mine celery, usually the small ribs and leaves. I dice it up, don't know if the long strings might contribute to crop impaction. It's not their favorite, but they will eat it.

If it's chopped, they gobble it down.

It takes more for them and us to digest it than it's worth.

Unless you are putting your birds on a diet.

I usually just give my girls the leaves from the celery. They seem to like them.

I give mine the leaves. I was told it didn't have much nutritional value so I don't bother giving them much.

My chickens will eat anything and everything except celery. They turned their beaks up at it and ignored me for the rest of the day in protest.

Won't touch the stuff, will eat everything else and leave the chopped celery and leaves behind, raw or cooked. I'd have to put it straight in the compost pile
