Yes chickens can eat celery. A lot of people report that their chickens won't.
I'd chop it up, because of the stringiness.

You would'nt want to feed much to them due to it's incredibly low nutritional value.
 
Mine will eat it if it's cooked in stuffing. Otherwise they ignore it.
 
Mine ate some. It wasn't their favorite treat and like someone else said isn't high in nutrients but they ate it.
 
I throw them all kitchen scraps (safe for chickens). Every veggie/fruit/pasta/bread/leftover. With three kids plus I run a daycare, there are lots of scraps. The chickens pick what they want and the rest gets scratched in as compost.

So, yes, my chickens have had celery. They loved the green tops, but not so much the stalks.
