So my first coop had a dirt floor. Didn't work out to well, and soon we converted one of our empty pig sheds into a coop, and then later the second pig shed. Both the pig sheds are on cement pads. My parents have a raised wood floor in there coop, so I've got some experience with this and bar none, I think the cement floor is the best, though others may disagree. I use hay on the floor and in the nesting boxes because I can get year old hay for cheap or sometimes free. I'm of the school that pretty much whatever you want to use on the floor, be it wood chips, hay or straw is fine, go with what you can get inexpensively. When it gets pooped up shovel off and hose it down. That's my favorite part about the cement floor, you can clean it up really, really well and even hose it off if needed. You'll be fine with that floor and probably come to like it.
