Everywhere i have seen online says to use pond liner under the cement. I don't have an extra $300 to build the 3 ponds i want tho! lol

will a cement pond work if i only use cement? I have plenty of extra wire around to help re-enfoce(sp?) it. Just need to knwo if straight cement in the hole will do the job and hold the water. I plan to use a sump pump to empty it every so often, that is if i cant figure out a drainage/filter system.

I mean, they make cement fountains that hold water, so why nto a big pond??

Look in sections that talk about water lilies and goldfish ponds. I have some books around here that I don't know where are, but I can't remember anything about a pond liner. I mean if you use a pond liner, why use cement at all? The only thing I remember was something about aging the pond.

First a hello to Puyallup, we will be there at the Oktoberfest selling things.
Concrete should work, but I would coat it with a sealer to get the poo and thing easier cleaned off. I would use a fiber reenforced concrete with the wire added to prevent cracking from winter freezes. Not that you are getting many of those. You can also get some plastic plumbing to build into the button of it as a point of drainage. You can also do this with a cheap kiddie pond, which is easy to rinse out, doesn't take long to fill, and you don't have to lift it to get the water out with the few pieces of plumbing you can pick up for about 10 bucks.
