Central Florida Poultry/Small Animal Swap & Sale May 14th Ocala

The last swap was a great turnout of sellers. Come out and join us for another great swap in the making. Bring your poultry, small livestock, farm related crafts and seasonal produce. Due to conflict of interest, please no new or used tack. Join us for a day of fun and getting together with other local poultry growers, farmers and crafts people. Little shade so please bring your pop-ups and umbrellas. Concessions will be available provided by Romeo Wranglers 4-H.

The ones that are laying are 3 EE's and one unknown black hen, they are going to be a year old next month. 4 black stars, 1 white mutt(think she started today) will be laying soon. Also have a brown frizzle same age but I think it might be a rooster.

Looks like I will be there too. I will have chicks (asst barn yard mix - all brown egg layer hens with pure Delaware roos) and ducklings. Also will have eggs available for sale too. If you want me to bring duck eggs just let me know.

$3 doz for chicken or duck eggs.

I have three Murray McMurray Pearl White Leghorn cockerels hatched 1/31/2011 and three ISA Brown cockerels from Townline hatched 2/14/2011 available. They're healthy and will be ready for breeding in another month or so for the Leghorns and about a month and a half for the ISAs. They are a good way to boost the productivity of your future laying flock.

I'll also have Midget White turkey poults that will be four weeks old by the time of the swap. They'll be $13.00 each and should have still more poults that will be just one week old by then that will be $10 each.

My turkey hens are laying up a storm lately so if you want to hatch your own I'll sell Midget White eggs for $2.00 apiece which is a dollar off from what I had them at earlier. I'd rather someone hatch them than us eat them!

Pulled up the forcast for Saturday. Looks like it will be a beautiful day but a bit warm. Only a slight chance of a sprinkle. We would suggest those who are selling to bring a pop-up canopy or at least an umbrella for some shade as there is little natural shade at this location. This will probably be our last swap for the summer at this location but we will resume when the weather cools back down. We will be continuing to have swaps at our place as it is much more shaded. Come out and join us for this last hurrah before the really hot weather starts.
