I will have one super nice pair of 8mo.old Black Orpingtons... Black Orp chicks and some way cute Orp/Ameraucana crosses they are turning out quite nice, all fluffy like Orps but with beards and muffs

I finally got my new tarps AND their on. Major accomplishment here! Of course it hasn't rained in the 2 days since we put them on. Absolutely you can bring Coke. I was going to get the ice but if you want to I won't stop you

It's one less thing I need to do. Trying to get my FIL to finish burning the burn pile but he messed up his back so now trying to get DH to do it. Hard when he was in GA yesterday and Tallahassee today

I don't mess with the fire so we may just have to look at the big old ugly wood pile LOL! At least he burned the stuff with the poison ivy in it first.

*Apologize for all the typos - fixed all I saw - haven't had coffee yet and the kids were tag teaming waking me up last night!

If I can get out of "surprise" work schedule, we will be coming.

DS is 12 but into chickens. He has learned alot about diseases, care, maintenance, diagnosing problems with care and housing. Actually, I am pretty proud of him.

Once in awhile I catch him reading BYC, and asking how old he has to be to join. I told him I would help get signed up "one day" lol. Just don't know what the boy would post though......hmmmmm......makes a mother wonder, would he be kind and helpful

or would he be snarky because he is hitting those teen years

Gotta ??, I got these 2 silkie hens from Barbara. I know silkies arent heavy layers but how long will it take for them to get over the move and start laying again?
