Yes, Tricia I want a pair of the buttons and I am also looking for a bigger duck. The one I hatched for a friend died while sitting on a nest of eggs. We think she got snake bit.

I have 2 ducklings out and drying, 1 almost zipped and the 4th is starting his zip. I love baby ducks!

These were under my broody duck until last week. I took her eggs and gave her more so I could have these for the swap.

Tricia I wound up with 18 Barred Rocks but I think one is going to be a "special needs" It was jammed up against the side of the hatcher and stuck in the shell. I just did hear it and get it out in time.
I have the Cuckoo Marans hatching now. One out with several pipping and zipping right along..

All 4 of the ducks have hatched and drying in the bator now. They are too cute!! To bad I don't really need to keep anymore ducks.

I have a BSL pullet, BUT recently she seems to have be growing tail plumage and a larger comb. She is about 5-6 months of age and has not laid yet. She is definately top bird in the flock. She even rules my two roos (RIR & BR), she will grab them by the comb and swing them around in circles if they have the nerve to challenge her. They all give her wide berth. I have heard of chickens taking the place of the rooster and taking on the physical characteristics if none are around, but like I said, I have two.

This is her running off the neighbors cat, like I said, she is a great guardian of the flock...

She also has two little bumps on he legs like spurs are growing in. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
