I will have a 4 month old Welsummer roo if anyone wants one. I think Ill be bringing a barred rock trio (very young), maybe a couple of young blue rock pullets. Im going to hatch some EEs for Kelly, and Ill try and get some extras to bring.

I have 4 female and 2 male Bourbon Reds, one male Bronze and one male White Royal Palm. Would like to find a lady for my Palm. He is my biggest pet. Wouldn't mind selling a pair of the BR's but plan on breeding the others. They will be laying in the spring for sure.

I guess you'll have to rename Dolly now..."she" was named after Dolly Parton, but so much for that! If I pick up the Silkies by then I'll bring them with me if you want me to. Let me know if you need anything else...LOL

I was suppose to pick them up Monday, but I had a stomach bug.

Kelly are you takin the bator down with you.......

Renatpreschool....I will be drivin thru your town tomorrow going to clearwater to help brother with support they are inducing his wife with first baby tomorrow..

I'm not taking it down this time, but when I go for Christmas and stay a week it's going with me since that's when everything is due! I'm still not sure how to move all those eggs...

i would make a really warm box and then put them in it and put warm covers over them and then put them it the baotr once you get it up and warm down there..even maybe a heating pad or hot water bottles to keep it warm while transporting them dow there....they are due while you are gone right

Kelly, don't tempt me! I'm actually in Plant City, so you'll be no more than a half an hour away. If you have the silkies by then, definitely bring them! And do you have any EE babies that are at least 2 or 3 weeks old? Only two of my pure EE's hatched and I'm sure at least one of them is a roo.

I transported my bator half an hour each way to and from preschool 5 days a week. Here's how I did it:
1.) Put lots of water bottles into the bator (you probably do this already) because they'll act as heat packs when you unplug.
2.) either find some way to plug the overflow holes or drain your bator, or you'll have water everywhere.
3.) Wrap your bator in a blanket for extra insulation.
4.) Ride with the windows down, girl! LOL I even turned the heat on at one point when it was super cold out.

My temps never dipped below 98, so you might see a fluctuation of a few more degrees, but shouldn't be much. With the water bottles it holds heat surprisingly well!

Ladybug, good luck with the baby! Keep us updated on when s/he's born!

Yeah, they're due the 20th-30th. I'm leaving around the 22nd, so it'll be right in the middle of everything. I'm not too worried about them cooling off, since it's only 2 hours and I've had power outages for longer than that, but I just don't want them getting bounced around too much.

Ok, I'm running to dinner w/ my cousin, but I'll be back in a while if everyone's still here!
