CENTRAL FLORIDA SWAP MEET - JAN. 17th

halo - I would still love for you to bring me some EEs. The ones I'm getting rid of are from my chickens so I don't want to keep them and be breeding them back to their daddy.

As for hatching eggs, I will probably have EE, RIR/EE, Cochin/EE and Silkie/EE, assuming everyone's laying still.

Bluroo, if you show pictures of your blue orps that are laying now, we'll have people coming from Montana to the swap to get your eggs!

Okay, Kelley, Ill bring some baby EEs to the swap for you.

Husband says we might go.

We'll be interested in Silkies and Showgirls.

May bring my mother--she'll be interested in God knows what. Probably large breed stuff though.

I have exhibition black bantam cochin eggs for sale right now. The girls have cranked it up the last week and I have artificially inseminated them twice. I'll continue to do that once a week as long as they are laying...in addition to being in a coop with their "man"

I put 18 in my bators BEFORE I did the AI and 12 are growing babies. Some of those chicks will be for sales as well. They are due Christmas Eve

So I know fertility is good.

$25 for 6 ++ and $10 shipping...or you can pick them up. I'll put in as many extras as the girls give me.

See my webpage for photos....If you are looking for a great 4-H project bird that will win, I think these will do it for you!!

I want to come! I would love some EEs. I have only mutts of chickens. Pretty mutts. It would be fun to come and meet all of you here in Florida!

I wouldn't mind some of your eggs or babies too KellyHM!

I have a Brahma Cross Roo and his ladies are Delawares, EEs, RIR, Black Star, and EE mixes.

I do have a 3 month old Delaware Roo. I have quail, a really pretty light brown pair that lay really big eggs. The others haven't started to lay yet.

How does this work?

Well..you just bring with you what you'd be interested in selling or swapping and bring along some $$ in case you see something you just can't go home without!!

You get to meet a whole bunch of BYC'ers and put faces with names.

I'd like to propose that we have hotdogs and hamburgers at the next one. Maybe start eating around 12:00?? What do you guys think? I'd be happy to bring my gas grill. If everybody brought along a couple of things like a package of hot dogs, hamburger patties or buns, chips, drinks, etc...we'd have enough for everyone. It would be fun to be able to spend time just fellowshipping with each other as well as swapping/trading/selling and buying chickens!!

Burgers and dogs sound like a great idea! We have a huge gas grill, so nobody would have to cart one with them, if everyone could just pitch in and bring the food and supplies! Yummy! Now I'm getting hungry...
