The Central Maine Bird Fanciers Spring Show is slated to take place on Sunday, May 26th at the Windsor Fairgrounds in Windsor, ME.

An entry form can be found on this page: https://www.facebook.com/#!/events/140600692791289/. All entries must include a copy of Pullorum testing.

Tailgate sales will be available on the grounds, so if you’re looking for a specific breed, many reputable breeders should be there with birds to sell. This is also a good chance to connect with experienced breeders to ask questions and get information.

entries need to be postmarked today (so get it mailed today if you have not already) and if you missed it, plan to come see the show anyway, there will lots of quality birds being shown as well as birds for sale.

here are the rules for the show and awards being offered.

I am planning on going. Is anyone going that is selling silkies? I have a 8-9 wk old white silkie hatched from paint parents (comb is coming in redder than I would like). Does anyone know if there will be a BYC booth like the NE poultry show?

we do not have a byc booth but that doesn't mean someone can't set one up. the sale area will be under cover in the new sheep barn (next to the poultry barn) and that is also where we will have our auction and raffle table.
I'm sure there will be silkies for sale in the sale area. i have one that is entered in the show but after the show, he can go home with someone else (white silkie roo)

the sales area is first come, some spots are reserved. cages are available and already set up if someone wants to use them both bantam and lg fowl sizes. set up fee to sell is $10. if any one has anything for either the raffle table (generally new or handmade items) or the auction, which can be anything including birds, hatching eggs, household items etc in good condition. all items are donated and the resulting money benefits the club to help with show expenses and other things.
If anyone that is entered would like to know their exhibitor number, pm me but warning, i still have alot to do to get ready so I will try to get back to you, but I may not. make sure to pick up an exhibitor list at the show (at the show secretary's desk)
