I am a while aways but so far I found no law on keeping chickens in NJ. You can call the town hall in her county.

Jackson NJ. It's not really close to N Bruns, but not terribly far either. Go down Rt 18 to Rt 9, thru Freehold and you're there!

Anyway, I'm right down the road from New Brunswick. I'm in the Woodbridge area. I have 3 hens and a rooster. Glad to know I'm not the only chicken owner around here.
